Billing questions
Why did I get a bill if I have insurance?
Most plans have a deductible, copay or coinsurance. For example, Original Medicare pays 80% of the approved amount after your Part B deductible and you pay the remaining 20%, unless you have a supplement plan that covers it.
Why am I billed every month?
Many items, such as hospital beds, wheelchairs and patient lifts, are billed by insurance as monthly rentals, so your share is billed monthly as well.
